Crabs r out to get me!

Sooooo this morning was crazy day, I started off by eating some donuts and chilling on the hammock. I got a call from John asking me if I wanted to go the beach today before going to the kids club. So I went. I took my car keys out from my car ( I was very postivite, because I never leave the keys in the car) and when we went to beach, I left the keys on top of my towel. When I came back from swimming, I couldnt remember if i took the keys first or the towel but I dont recall seeing the keys when i held up my towel but it was gone. It wasnt stolen because John's mom, Karon was sitting beside it, and their dog was protecting it. Yeah its small dog but you never know. I looked all over the beach.. No luck. so i went back to school but i felt like i needed to look some more so i went out with Tess to look. No luck again. Blweh. Later, i went over to the police station with Tess to ask for help to open my car door so i can get my valuables out. Turns out the people we need to get my car open is in the town just past the deaf school. /facepalm. We drove all over there and back with them. It wasnt even a minute when they got my car door open. I took all valuables out. Whew. So we went back to school n I waited for my dad to come over after his work so he can give me the spare key. He came in with his new car, Yaris. Very cool. So when i got my car back and i got a call from dad when he got home.. that he left his keys in the car when he locked it.... I was basically laughing my ass off because this is just too funny. My car was stranded and now its his car that got stuck... At least its at home though..  I want to thank Tess for helping me all day. If shes in need for a help I'm going to return that favor for sure.

My car keys doesnt have a legs that it can walk off by itself. I'm pretty sure the crabs stole the keys since they're mad at me for throwing their friend in my mouth the other day.. I didnt eat it though! They're out to get meeeeee!

What a freaking day.

Full moon

Went to a private school a while ago, and i was pretty much swarmed with kids. It was pretty fun. Apparently they were on their best behaviors according to Tess except for Fabian when it comes to nap time. he didnt listen at all..  Went to church on friday night to watch a movie called Beyond the Blackboard. its reaaaaaaaallly good movie.. well its good when you watch it for the first time. I tried to watch it again but i ended up falling asleep

Betsy's away to somewhere in America, i dont know, but I wish her a luck, I know shes doing great up there. Betsy not doing great? almost impossible. Hmmm, oh yeah i lost my camera earlier in the afternoon. I was looking at my replay in the shallow water and the waves hit me from behind and pushed my camera out of my hands and it was gone. Poof. like that. :(.  I had to get my phone to record the waves again.

The waves was pretty high today. Unusual since theres no hurricane. It is supposed to be high like mad if the hurricane is nearby.. Weathers is just too complicated here.. WHY CANT IT BE SO SIMPLEE????

I'm looking forward to this wednesday!!!! I'm going to El Yunge with Tess's church. Im so pumped because i just love looking out from the watchtower and the rainforest.. and everything is just awesome there. Like a paradise.

I'm getting comfortable with driving up a steep hills. They scare me because i have a vivid imagination of getting in crash, or if the brakes all sudden wont work and theres no stopping it from rolling backward.. which is what i'm scared of. Dont blame me but blame it on the city where i live.. the streets is all flat there.

I miss Tim Hortons. I got my family to promise me that we'll go to Tim's right after i get back.. Thank god theres one right in the airport.  Mmmmmmmm.   Its thanksgiving today in Canada and everyone here celebrated it just cause i'm from there.. I wanted to say thanks for everything.

It was full moon today. was quite peaceful. I was thinking of driving back to the beach right away after we got back but blehh.  I'm learning how to play guitar.I'm still bad but i'm getting better...  I think.

Peeking in, with a turkey face.. going like "Lol"

Oh I’m a gummy bear.
Yes I’m a gummy bear.
Oh I’m a yummy tummy funny lucky gummy bear.
I’m a jelly bear.
Cause I´m a gummy bear.
Oh I’m a movin’ groovin’ jammin’ singing gummy bear.
Oh yeaoooh.

G'nite all!

Chels's eyesights!

I started off the morning with church with my dad, Betsy, and Chris at my dad's church. I peeked in the the room where the pops resides. :3 <3 root beers (chris u know what im talking about with peeking part) After the church i went to my dad's just to play with vespa scooter for a bit before driving back to ESD. I heard my aunt was in PR visiting. I havent seen her yet and will see her this tuesday. While driving back to ESD, I happen to realize I was behind the same car alllllllll way to the forest entrance close to river end from Loiza.. The other car moved to the other lane and slowed down. Obviously that person driving thought i was actually following him/her but im not. we just happen to go in the same direction. Tailgating is the number one that annoys the drivers I guess.

I went to Tess's friend's place with her and watched a football game between Green bay against packers. Wisc won. :O congratulationssssss!

I know you're reading this, Cherry. I hope you're reading this just fine without squinting your eyes. I worked so hard changing all the fonts just to let u read all of my blog lol just kidding it was easy. I hope u dont have to squint to read this------ I love you and will always. :3 If you squinted....... TSK TSK TSK lol <3

Vieques Snorkelling!

Snorkelling at Vieques is not really as good as snorkelling in Culebra but it was still good. I had a sprained shoulder, from the incident at Tess's church. I tried to do a multiple cartwheels but the path wasnt big as it is in ESD and i ended up landing on my shoulder.. it didnt feel so bad at first but the next day it hurts like hell. Now its better than it is yesterday. (I'm supposed to be blogging this last night) Anyways, one difference between Vieques and Culebra is that Vieques fishesa has so much different colors. Red, blue, gray, silver, yellow, green fishes. It was awesome. I think I like the red ones.. they're very flashy and beautiful.

Hiding under rocks, when I took them out, I saw several Sea Brittles. its that picture down below. It moved just like a spider with long legs.. Apparently its poisonous.. I think? Or will cause bad pain if its spikes get in your skin. Its like a porcupine-spider. :3   I touched an anemone? cant spell it. It was very sticky and several crabs was living on it. Very interesting. Oh by the way I got several scratches from the reef there.. we were snoreklling in like, hazard area.. We'd be in big trouble if the tides changed.. but the reefs is all over there.. there is not much of reefs in the middle.  I still want to see a shark so bad........ Im getting impatient.

Oh I lost the pop bet, He brought several rootbeers to the beach and everyone was drinking it......Oh well. We made a new bet, whoever catches more crabs within 2 weeks wins. They cant be something like hermit crab or anything that resides in a shell. It has to be a CRAB, the ones who can hurt you by pinching you. (regardless the size)

Bulletin down the slide!

Yeah I know I havent posted anything for couple days. There was nothing important to tell and i didnt really do anything but helping kids with school all day. Today I went to waterpark with Tess. After little confusion with transportation, we got to waterfall and only had at least 45 minutes in it before we had to go and pick up the foods from Jen's mother in law for Tess's church later that afternoon.

When we got to Jen's mother in law's place. I saw the dog that looked sooooo much like Delaney, the dog we have in ESD.. That got to be her's mother. :P There was another dog, white scruffy and really cute. We got to the church like 10 minutes late.. but its all good. After the church, I ended up talking to Karon for hours. She showed me the harp that Jon and Elyssa, her children played. I could hear some of those string. Black ones was pretty loud. Their dog sat on me and was all half-asleep.

Earlier in the afternoon I went out with my dad to get tickets to go to Vieques with Betsy, Chris. I'm excited for it. So, Ill post more tomorrow about it.. in my room or in the hospital if I get bitten by a shark. WOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Oh by the way i think this dormitory is haunted.. I kept getting the feeling of someone following or watching me everytime i walk in a specific hallway between Judy's room and the laundry.. D=

Adiosssssss!

Pearl Harbor

Relaxing day today. We started off with the same thing, the daily route. This time Gabi, Saul and Juan wasnt here.. I heard few different stories why they're not coming to school. One is that Saul had a haircut and was embarassed to come to school.. Other reason was that their car didnt work and they didnt have any transportation to bring them to school. I just worked with Zumaya most of the morning. Funny thing is that when she does her math, she could figure out what 6 plus 3 was but she always got 6 plus 2 wrong.... She kept counting like from 6 to 9 then 9 to 6??? I kept telling her that 10 comes after 9.

I worked with Kevin with his factor math. I felt stupid when i didnt understand "Put them in an increasing order" i thought it meant that i had to add them all up and i kept getting the same answer as the ones on the paper.. it confused me for a second. Had a nice dinner with everyone and then had some staff meeting.

We watched Pearl harbor movie that my dad gave me. It was good movie but it was extremely long....... its not over yet. there is a part 2 movie. I dont know how long that one is because i havent seen it. Ive seen just first part though.

I'm hoping to go to Vieques or Culebra this saturday to snorkel. If Culebra then I wanna go to different place other than Flamenco. Ive been there last time i went there. Gonna enjoy the rest of the night on computer. Hasta la vista.

No pops = piece of cake perhaps?

Busy talking on msn. ill make this short :P. I went to my dad's church with Chris today and ended up staying there like till 3 or so because of the baby shower. .-. When we came back to my dad's place. we played around with my car and the scooter. I let Chris drive me to Walmart with my car just to get some pops and gums. We agreed to a deal. He cant drink Monsters, which is his favorite drink and I cant drink pops for two weeks straight.. DONT TEMPT US. You're a meanyhead if u do that.

We came back home and then went to Sizzler with my dad and his wife. Last time ive been to Sizzler was like two years ago with my dad and my godfather, David.

I want to take a scuba diving lessons so bad so i can swim beside a whale, a shark.... I have a large imagination everyday of how awesome itd be to swim by any big animals underwater. I dont really care about being bitten or whatever related to animals. I'll survive and will have a good tale to tell in the future.

Overall it was a fun day.
Peace.

TODAY blog.

Started the morning with some delicious breafkast, bacon, eggs, ham and waffles. After the breakfast we went swimming in the pool. Guess what? Jen came and brought me a hermit crab she found in other pool. I played with it for a while then I dared Chris to put it in his mouth. He told me to do it first and he'll follow. At first I hesistated then i slowly tried to put it in my mouth, it pinched me in my lips. Owwwwwww. Then when it tucked itself in its shell.. I tried doing that again and I held it in my mouth for probably 7 or 8 seconds before it pinched me again n i spat it out. Chris changed his mind and didnt do it. I heard a chicken clucking a lot when he said that. Elizabeth said something like, why do the boys always do something like this? I told her that I dont want to regret a day and go like, Oh I should have done that before. that'd be a good memory".. AMIRITE?

We went out snorkelling and found a big jellyfish! I poked it with my snorkel-air-breather thing.. Later in the van, Chris told everyone that I was trying to kill the jellyfish by poking it hard.. Whaaaaa? Hey! he wanted to drop a live shellfish in jelly's tentacles to see if it dies and or if it gets eaten. thats even worse than trying to kill a jellyfish by poking it..... which it wont die because its 98% water and beside it has a protection cover around it. I looked at them over internet and they say if you found a jellyfish on the shore, it wont be there long time because they evaporate since their body is all water. Oh by the way the type of the jellyfish we found was called Aurelia Aurita. Copy and paste. Look it uppppp. :)

No sharks..... Damn. At least I had some krispy kreme donuts on way back to ESD. Im not sure which is better, Krispy or Tim horton..... Krispy invade your nose when its not wanted unlike Tim horton's. Tim horton isnt that tasty like Krispy's.. I dont know? They both are definitely better than Dunking Donuts or Robin Donuts thats for sure. Why am i talking about foods? I'm probably making you hungry by now!

Gonna go to deaf church tomorrow then head over to my dad's to play with the scooter again! Wooo.

A fish said to the other fish in a tank.. "How do you drive this thing?"

Hasta la vista!

Yesterday blog

Sorry I havent posted a post but I had a good reason for that, I was gone all afternoon yesterday. I was in the van for nearly 5 hours straight travelling to other end of Puerto Rico. We all stayed in a hotel there overnight and there wasnt any internet there so i couldnt post what was going on. There isnt really much to tell. Obviously cause im in the van for 5 hours. :( I daydream in the van most of the times about what Ive read over internet and the quotes from the movies. The stuff I read was from Yahoo answers. I found one of the question funny, "Have you ever felt a sudden urge to throw your phone or mp3 out the window while driving?" Soooooooo true. Of course I wouldnt throw it out but it was just a thought. I think its called an intrustive thoughts?

my favorite quote was from Rush hour movies, "If you're half chinese, I'm half black, got that down, snoopy, Dope isnt it?"
Carter : "Lee, you cant be black, theres a height requirement."
For some reason I was thinking of the family guy star wars.. shown on the vid in the link below.

Brake! Skid! Turn! Accelerate!

Sorry bout yesterday, didnt feel like posting a post. I didnt really do much yesterday anyways. Started my day as always, the daily route with the kids. Naiska is quite stubborn sometimes. She isnt really a cooperative person like Saul or Zumaya, I guess its the personality u get when you're a second child. I left to my dad's at lunch time to get my brake fluids fixed and to try out the scooter for the first time! I drove it like a pro though ;).

When I saw my uncle Rene walking around. He looked just like my dad when he walked for some reason. If I'm standing in the distance, I wouldnt be able to tell who is who. I played around with the scooter when my uncle fixed the car.  When he took one of the rear tire off, the inside was really wet and we found the leak. Apparently every time you press the brake, it leaks out from that wire. We went out and bought a new replacement for it. Now the car works just fine but I still dont trust it no matter what. I'm not going up on a steep hills with it.
Played around with the scooter for lil more. It was just addictive and really fun. Love the breeze :).

Drove back to school and then we went out to the beach when it was dark outside. I stood on the shore, and guess what? I got shorter, and shorter! Shorty for the winnnnnnn. I was the same height as Chris and when I was standing there, I got so much shorter like the height of uhh little lower than Jen. The sand was all halfway up my shin. :P

Bouncing on the way back to ESD in a one big white van, like a cowboy with a wild horse. Yeehaw!  Ok that just sounded very Texan.

    Looking forward to tomorrow. Peaceeee

Rip Tom/Jerry

Rest in peace, Tom and Jerry. Lifes always not what it expects to be. It happens.

Rain just slapped me in my face early in the morning. Gahhhhhh. Bleh. Kevin had his class being done via oovoo. He couldnt come to school because where he lives, theres a flood there. Oh well. I went home for a while with my dad. I found four centipedes so far, one at the school by the classrooms. O.o

Got my haircut done. Finally. I didnt want to get an afro n go like, You're arrested, sugar. (Austin Goldmember movie). Came back to school, and not long after, I went out to Tess's church to play some black ops video game with ppl there. It've been a while since Ive played my old black ops. Bleh.

Mind's blank all day today. Guess its not in mood to think.

Laters.

Water + Hurricane + An island nearby = No Waves??

Well, I had to type that title and everything again because I didnt realize I was on computer with the recharger unplugged. I'm glad it shutted down because while it was coming back on, I caught a coqui frog! Its sitting on my stomach right now as I type this. I'm calling it Kerbit. Its very still though. I made few faces at it just now and it just stared me like if its gonna stare me to death. He's still looking at me right now. Creepeh!

He jumped on my face when I tried to hold him. D= Anyways I started off with some mowing in the morning. Had to go to the store to get the blades for it first since one of the blade was already broken.

Everything is in the title. I went swimming today after school and surprisingly, the waves wasnt what it was supposed to be when the hurricane is just passing by few hundred miles away from the island.

Not much to say for today. Kerbit's still sitting on my stomach right now. He likes me I think, since hes not getting off. I hope he doesnt poop me on me and go all like, See ya, sucker.  =(

Badminton tomorrow! Wahoooooo. Gonna beat up my favorite target, Kevin! Oh, Jen might get her head bonked again tomorrow if shes gonna play me. I'll tell her to bring a headgear in case.

Hasta la vista!
(Kerbit: *croaks*)

Braaaaaaaaaaakkkkkkee

Ahh. It was sunny this morning..  Wait, Whaa? Sunny?! It was supposed to be raining hard because of a tropical storm that was supposed to be here by now. Oh well. I went with Tess to her church. I was reading Genesis instead of reading what everyone was reading...... Whoops.  It was just too interesting for a newbie like me. Well, I do know the bible but I dont really know which people is in which time order.

It was raining when we came back to school. It didnt last long though.

Went to the beach for a while before going to bible study. When I walked down the shore, I noticed that everytime the waves get pulled back, the sand suddenly make a million holes.. Like if something is underneath and is digging really fast so they can breathe?? Funny.

Went to Bible study. It was pretty fun. I think I'm going to learn how to play a guitar. Its hard but Tess told me that Charlie was teaching me hard ones. She'll teach me easy ones and in the return, I'm going to teach her how to drive a standard car. As expected, she's frightened but she'll have to learn soon enough.

I tried to figure why the ABS and the brake indicator was on on the dash board in my car.. Turns out ABS stands for Anti-braking system. Apparently my parking gear isnt working. For the brake indicator, it was on for a while. I looked in the hood and found that the brake fluid was pretty low. I re-fueled it and after the bible study, it turned on again..... I think I got a leak. Gonna get them all checked out soon.
Waves was a-roaring when i was at the beach.

  Looking foward for this week.

Hasta la vista!

Understanding PR

Not much stuff to do today. I'm starting to understand PR little more. Sometimes at night time I thought it was crazy when the people drove through the red lights on intersections. Turns out the laws allows that so you dont get shot or mugged by drug users, or by gangs. Makes sense but I wouldnt drive after midnight anyways.

Went to beach today. The waves was supposed to be huge now because the hurricane was closing in, but there isnt really a decent waves. Cant really snorkel either, too much movement on the top. If the weather isnt so bad tomorrow, I'm thinkin of going to beach n walk down the shore. I havent done that for a while.

When I was doing bible study stuff with Tess this afternoon, she told me she heard gunshots for almost two hours. Some people was just playing with guns in the field far away. They sure have a lot of bullets though.

I showed everyone a video about a guy doing an interpretative dance according to the music. It'll entertain you if you're bored. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZ1BfI5y91s  heres the link.

I want to hold a coqui frog again. They sing every night. You can clearly hear them. Funny thing is that if you bring one of those frog outside PR, it would stop singing all sudden and wont do anything till it dies. Smart froggies, not letting people take them all apart.

Nothing further to add.  Enjoy the link I just posted. Good lucks!

Evil car.

Started my day the same as always, but this time Saul was being bad boy. He got a time out. Yikes. Worked with Gabi for a while when Jen, Betsy kept themselves busy holding Saul in the corner. What a stubborn child lol.

Just an hour before school ended, we played badminton in our own basketball court outside because the badminton practice was cancelled. :( Not again. Later when the kids left, I kept playing with Chris but instead of using a badminton racket, I was using a tennis racket. Not bad.

My dad came over to take me to his house for a while to try out the scooter. Turns out it wasnt working because its battery was dead. Bleh. At least my dad gave me his Toyota Cordolla. Wahooooo. Later, when I was driving to Tess's church which is pretty close to ESD. On way there, I was driving all paranoid because the brakes wasnt working. I was basically driving with no brakes. I looked at the orange brake display displayed beside the speedometer and I thought it was a problem with the brakes. When I got to Tess's church safely.. (no deaths occurred.) I realized I was driving all way there with the parking gear on.......... No wonder why the brakes didnt work. Geez.

Played some video games with Tess's friends and found a coqui frog! Awesome. It hopped pretty fast just like Speedy Gonzales.

Before I end this post for the night, here's a catchy song that got stuck in my mind for a while (even now)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qC_hF31z130

This is Speedy Gonzales if you dont know.

   Adios!

Groovy Van

Woke up little sluggish today. We went in the chapel and watched a guy talking about 3 different things, Simple, Fool and Wise people. It was interesting. Did some daily route with Saul, Juan and Gabi again after that and it started to rain so hard outside. Love the scent of the rain. The heat after the rain was not pleasant though.

The kids here has a talent for music even though they cant hear. They can still understand how to do the music according to the keys or something, I'm not good at this. :( I'm learning how to play piano right now though. Hard but hey, a practice is what I need and I'll get better.

We went to badminton practice and I ended up playing Kevin most of the times there. He improved a lot. Before he couldnt hit the bird like straight to the floor. He kept hitting it over my head constantly, giving me easy time to hit back and harder. Now he can hit it straight down but he still need practice not to hit it toward me. I played Jen as well. I think the bird loves her head more than her racket because she kept getting her head bonked. She asked me to go easy on her but its really hard to resist my urge not to give any mercy. Betsy made it worse and my meaniness slipped several times. :(

Later, when the staff had a bible study, I went out with Tess to her friend to play some dominoes. Tess's car is one big crazy, but groovy, and funny. When we stopped for a gas, she hopped off the car n then it locked, unlocked by itself for like at least 4 or 5 times in a row. At first I thought it was Tess playing around with her car keys. After the visit, it did the same thing but this time she was driving..... Her car definitely would make the burglaries cry if they tried to steal it. At first I thought she told me if she drove fast enough, the car would start up the music by itself.  How groovy and awesome is that? But it isnt what she said but if the other cars sped past her car, it'll turn her alarm on. Its definitely an anti-theft vehicle.

Looking forward to tomorrow and this weekend!

  Adios for now.  Peace.

Imaginations for the win.

Well, well. I guess I'm using on screen keyboard tonight because I'm too lazy to get up from the hammock and walk over to my dormitory to get my keyboard. Its super comfy on the hammock right now.. I almost fell asleep on it the other day but somehow I woke up, saw Tess coming out from the door and I didnt want to go back to sleep.

I had one perfect sleep last night and it was all ruined when Chris woke me up this morning....... I'm like Awwwww...... Noooo. Anyways, I started off with Saul, Juan and Gabi in the morning with the daily route, the date of today, the weather and ABCs. There wasnt much to do all day today. So I poked my head in the other class and watched the discussion about Christopher Colombus and how he found America. I love history.

After lunch, we got a call..... A DREADFUL, HORRIBLE, SADDENING CALL...... Badminton was cancelled. Boo. At least I had fun with Kevin and Kristian with the class discussions and using our imaginations. Good times. I hope we can do it again.

When the kids went home, we headed over to the pool for a while and had a frappees on way back. Kookies & Creme. Yummeh.

Nothing further to add. Been reading some random stuff on internet. Apparently the people's scared to move to Australia because of all lethal and poisonous animals there but they did not consider the ratios between how many people got killed by crimes to how many people got killed by animals.  Pffffftt.

    Peace.

Camel and the tent.

Started my day off with helping the kids with their schooling. Fun, as always. I decided to practice the badminton with Mizael. He reminds me a LOT of myself when I was younger. When I was his age I'm always like, "I know, I know I know I know I know how I know how I know I know." We went to the gym for badminton practice with the captain. FOUR days, no badminton! Made me go loopy and madly insane in my mind. :(. Finally.

We had to pull the other van stuck over the hill behind my dormitory when we came back to ESD. I dont know who but someone parked the van there during the BBQ party so it wouldnt get in the way when it comes to parking. After a while, we finally got it out by attaching a chain/rope to it with other van. Lucky the other van didnt get stuck otherwise........ /facepalm.

Not long after pulling the van out, we went out to the restaurant and played some Othello and stone pyramid game. Everyone kept asking me to show the face like how I did to Chris about a story between a sheik and the camel. The story was like this..

Once upon a time, long long ago, there was this sheikh riding his camel across the desert to the next oasis. When night fell, he pitched his tent and all, and went to sleep, tying his camel to the tent post. As the night progressed, it got colder, and soon, the camel became uncomfortable. He stuck his nose into the tent and pleaded with his master, "Please, master, it's getting awfully cold out here. Please, let me just nuzzle my nose inside the tent." After much thought the sheikh relented, and let the camel crane its neck into the tent.
A couple of hours passed, and the sheikh was woken up by a desperate cry from his camel. "Oh, sir, I am so sorry to have woken up your majesty, but, sir, I can hardly breathe. It feels like ... eh ... my lungs are frozen shut. Master, please let me stick a few more inches of my body into the tent. "Ah, the poor camel! It seems that this one is not adapted to the ways of the desert," the sheikh thought. "It's only right that I accommodate his wishes." Not only did he let the camel stick its torso inside the tent, but also let him rest his head in the bed besides him.
Another couple of hours passed, and the camel ... you get the idea. When the sheikh woke up shivering in the morning, why, he was surprised to find himself under the open skies and the camel soundly asleep in his bed inside!

Gonna enjoy the rest of night on computer.

     Peace!

Fo Shizzling the beach

Ah. BBQ party this morning was killing my ankle. I had a leg injury because of the snowboarding incident last winter and apparently it hasnt healed yet, because I didn't give it time to heal ever since that time. During the snowboarding, my leg down from the knee basically trembled and I continued snowboarding, regardless the pain. I cant afford to miss the fun!

Played basketball and I was teamed up with the pastor against Robert and other guy, I dont know his name and mannnnn, we owned that game. Dodgeball after the basketball game then a game with a frisbee with 4 players on each team. Weird isnt it? Usually it'd be 2 players per team. They wont play the Canadian's rules. How mean. :(

Played the pastor and the other guy in a game of Chess! I just realized I havent played chess since the time i left the dormitory.... It brought up several good memories. I lost against the pastor but won against the other guy.. It was very close game though. Lost to Chris in a game of Othello... Whaaa? Impossible. He must have won by a fluke.

Yep you got it right, it was really hot outside and I was sweating really bad. At least we went to the beach afterward. Kept getting my surfboard pulled away from me because it didnt have the wristband attached to it. Most of the times I got to ride the waves all way to the shore. Woooooohoooooo!.  High five to that.

Played a game of 21 and one on one with Robert when we came back to ESD. He's pro at one on one.. or maybe its just because i suck so bad at it. I'd blame it on my ankle but thatd just make it sound like I'm making up excuses. I accept the defeat for now. Ended my day eating some ice cream from Mc donald. Yummeh.

I really hope we have the BBQ party here next time. I enjoyed it really a lot.

       Rock on.

Church-nastic!

Today, I went to Betsy's church. Its a spanish church. Didnt understand a bit of what the pastor said but i had an interpreter, Betsy and Elizabeth to explain whats going on. Apparently we're gonna have a BBQ party tomorrow with the entire people in the church at ESD since its Labor day tomorrow. No school for the kids.

Went with Tess to the beach with her friends after the church and played with the waves. Not as big as the hurricane one before but it was still big. Fun.  We invited her friends over for BBQ party tomorrow. I'm looking forward to have a good time with them.

Bible study after the beach. Oh man, let me tell you that everyone i know in PR attends churches, bible studies. Unlike the church i went with my grandma before where Im always bored and sitting there, not understanding anything. Here in PR I didnt miss much and it was very interesting. I liked the bible study today because i had so much questions that is still remain unanswered.

Finally got my keyboard and my mouse to use with my laptop today. My laptop's "a" button doesnt work so i had to use on screen keyboard all the times for that annoying letter.  -.-

Now I've been given a choice using my dad's scooter or his 1994 Toyota Cordolla when he gets his Nissian Frontier repaired. Hmm I really want to use the scooter since Ive always wanted to ride a 2 wheels vechile. Need to get it registered before I can use it. Yikes.

Gonna leave a quote from the bible study today, "Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. 5 However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness." Romans chapter 4, 4:5

Patrick Star was here!

Yep, its what you guessed. I saw the starfishes in Loiza beach, just few minutes away from where my dad live.  I love when they move with their legs because it is just too weird that its so interesting. We took some pictures of them and I put it on top of my head and surprisingly, it doesnt feel strange even though it was crawling all over.  We tried to snorkel in Loiza but the visibility is like just the size of your arm underwater.. :(

I got stung by a jellyfish AGAIN when I was coming out the shore.. I'm not sure if it was a jellyfish but I'm pretty sure since the sting felt like it was on fire, and if it wasnt the jellyfish, I would have seen what attacked me before it swims away. Lets hope the jellyfishes isnt playing Tag with me next time I go in the beach.

I remember hearing my dad ranting about how he found a hammershark in the same place where we were in. He went on about how smooth their skin was and how aggressive it was. Yeah I expected that since they were holding them out the water. I researched about them over net, it claims that it doesnt attack the humans except if they disrespect them or make them feel like they're being invaded. If I find stingrays and follow them, I will most likely find a hammershark since the stingrays is their favorite prey.

My first priority when it comes to snorkelling.. TO SEE A SHARK. My trip to PR is not complete if i dont see one. It cant be just in zoo or anywhere where theres a wall between me and the shark. Yeah I'll be scared of being bitten but hey, if i get attacked and survive which I'm pretty sure I will, i would have a tale to tell my future kids.

I'm glad I decided to stay till May because I just found a lot more locations all over in PR, especially the island of Tortola. An island full of sea turtles. I'm going to be like, Duuuuuuddddddde, Rock on!!!!! If I see them.

Went to a nice restaurant with everyone in ESD, and now I'm going to enjoy the rest of the night on the hammock. :)

Culebra Snorkelling!

Someone's picking my leg up and drop it down few times,  I woke up and saw my dad. Excited because I knew we were going to Culebra island today. I got ready quickly. Didnt shower. Whoops.

Arrived at the ferry! The ships there was huge. not as huge as the Titantic of course. It was little wobbly inside but ehh. It took us an hour to get all over to Culebra. Impatient as hell, I just decided to keep myself busy looking out the window and take pictures of Fajardo coast. Finally we got to Culebra island, we exited the ship and saw so many transportation with the names of the place where its popular for the tourist attraction. We decided to go to Flamenco since ESD school told me it was good place to snorkel.

Not even 15 minutes, we got there and we just dived in before anyone else. The water..... is just INCREDIBLY clean, so BLUE and the sand was so white that it doesnt really make a dust cloud if u walked. The reefs wasnt so far away, I found bunch of school fishes all over the bottom of the reefs. I dived in and swam like if I'm one of them. Yeah I'm pretty sure they thought i was a strange boy.

There were three reefs in Flamenco. First one was full of small fishes and the schoolfishes on the bottom. Second one wasnt really anything but a lot of yellow fishes. Third one was the best one. I followed a herd of blue tangs as long as a school bus into deeper water. I feel safe with them, better than people because they'd definitely abandon you if they see the danger.

They werent so friendly just like the angelfish the other day, trying to bodyslam me when i was kneeling in the shore. So, I've been asking them where P.Sherman 42 Wallbay Sydney was and they just ignored me :(  I tried to swim away, ironically they followed me then when i turned around, they did the same. It kept going like that for a bit, it was actually fun.

All I can say is I definitely loved snorkelling there. Next time we're going to Culebra, we're going to Tortola island, around an hour flight time from Culebra. Its an island filled with sea turtles.

Catching up from the beginning

Hello!

I just created a new blog for myself so i can keep track of the days and what ive done so far in Puerto Rico.

Currently, im lying on a hammock, just relaxing from playing tennis against a wall for few hours earlier. When i heard that im heading to Puerto Rico on July 26th to visit my father. I was escastic about it but the thoughts of missing my friends in Canada was very hard for myself so i decided to spend the rest of July months with everyone as much as I can.

Upon my arrival in Puerto Rico, it was surprisingly not hot as the weather in Canada.. or maybe its just because i got there at nighttime. Humidity in PR is definitely different though. I stayed at my dad's for a while. I knew my dad wasnt gonna be home all the times since he has a job but we agreed that I'd be using his truck to travel.

His other car broke down not long after i got there. Bad karma!! He took the truck and i was pretty much bored at home. At least i was keeping myself busy with the stray dogs and my dad's cats. <3

When it was my dad's day off. we went to ESD school.  It's the place where my parents met. Hung out with them and realized it was really fun. I asked them if i could stay over for a week and they welcomed me.

Guess what happened next? A week changed to till May. I decided to work as a volunteer for a teacher assistant here at ESD. Since i wanted to be a social worker so i can work in families crisis and behavior. Obviously they require experiences socializing and this is my first step into the real world.

So, I've been snorkelling everywhere nearby, found two interesting species, its called Eagle spotted stingray and Flying gurnard. Went to El Yunge, a fanastic waterfall mountain where you could dip yourself in the waterfall and itd feel like if its massaging your back. :)

Bioluminescent bay in Fajardo was just an incredible experience. We kayaked into a cave made by the forest itself and out into a huge lagoon. The water there glowed.  When I sticked my arm in the water and out, the water fell down my arm and glowed all over. We could even see the fishes swimming there. it was very relaxing and amazing same time. Only 7 areas in the world has something like this.  Only seven! Three is in PR.

Met three parrots after the kayaking.  They have an individual personalities. They earned my full respect  for showing it and biting my phone. haha. That's the reason i put the parrots into the blog's link name.

Hurricane Irene missed us but it took our electricity out! No electricity for almost a week. We went out swimming. Yeah we're insane i know, but hey.. once you're here. you will understand. The waves was HUGE. :O.  Kept myself busy raking, mowing, dragging the trees and cleaning the fridge in the dormitory when the electricity was out.

Crabs here isnt very nice..... One of them pinched me when I somehow grabbed it when i was playing with the waves. I got stung by a jellyfish just above my back knee as well, and I heard millions of jellyfishes is coming to the shores of PR..... Oh great, I guess I'm going to get barbecued soon.

We started going to a gym for a badminton games and practice. it brought up my good memories of winning a gold medal in 2006. Apparently, the captain there saw my talent and told me he will call something i dont know, and i think put me into a national level games?

ESD is just amazing school Ive been to. Its going to be an epic experience.
I should stop typing now since I'm supposed to be playing Othello few minutes ago :O

Off to Culebra island to snorkel with my father in the morning.  :)
